Holly was a dancer from the age of 3 and had a career in ballet for 16 years. She danced all over Lehigh Valley, PA, numerous studios throughout Central NJ including the Roxey Ballet Company, and ended her career dancing with Ballet Austin in Austin, TX at the age of 19. She is experienced in many forms of dance including classical, contemporary, tribal, modern, tap, jazz, and more. Due to numerous injuries suffered during her career as a dancer, landing her in physical therapy many times, Holly realized there was a lack of knowledge in the Physical Therapy community of the demands placed on a dancer's body. Holly found this to be her passion in her second career as a Physical Therapist. She has made it her goal to educate the dance community about how to prevent dance-related injuries and to be the expertise that has been lacking in the area of Dance Physical Therapy.
Holly Navarro, PT, DPT, CMTPT has earned multiple awards and has been recognized as Morning Call's Reader's Choice Best Physical Therapist of the Lehigh Valley 2015. Holly also received an award for Lehigh Valley Business Best 40 Under 40 2018 for her hard work and dedication to her community as a Physical Therapist. Holly is a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) and has worked closely with physical therapists and staff at Westside Dance Physical Therapy, and others across the country, to ensure she is giving the most up to date and quality care to her patients and clients. She has performed multiple workshops throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey and continues to be passionate about reducing the number of dance injuries through education and coaching.
